Before and After Study - 2004

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

Since 1989, Facial Concepts, Inc. has established Facial-Flex as a clinically proven product that addresses facial muscle weakness or facial sag. Facial-Flex is based upon clinically proven principles of “dynamic progressive resistance exercise”, otherwise known as “weight training” for the rest of our body. The concept of “weight training” is an undisputed method of producing muscle strength/tone and a younger looking appearance. There is no magic to weight training if it is implemented in a consistent and methodical manner.

To this date, Facial Concepts has been reluctant to provide before and after photos of Facial-Flex users out of concern that they would be perceived as a misrepresentation of the truth. Many “other” products with before and after photos seen in the marketplace are seemingly altered to deceive the consumer.

Facial Concepts, Inc. hereby makes claim to the authenticity of the before and after photos to follow. They are untouched and certified by an unbiased professional photographer who presents an affidavit to the manner in which they were taken.

STATEMENT OF PARTICIPATION:

All participants were selected through a newspaper advertisement in the Philadelphia area. Participants were between the age of 35 - 50 years old; had no facial surgery before or during the treatment period; were non-smokers, and used the Facial-Flex Ultra exercise and toning system, which included the Facial-Flex exercise device and the Facial-Flex Advanced Renewal Complex topical cream, twice daily for a period of 12 weeks. Furthermore, all participants were evaluated by a physician at the outset, and again during the later half of the exercise period.

Affidavit from Lien Nibauer Photography

on October 22, 2004:

"On May 5, 2004, I came to the Facial Concepts' offices and photographed five women who were about to embark on using the Facial Concepts' product for the first time. After twelve weeks of the women using the product, I came back on September 8, 2004 to photograph them again in the exact same way.

The camera used was a Hasseblad H101. Shot at 125 of a second at an aperture of F8. The strobe lighting used was a combination of Comets & Pro Foto lights. These were located one above the subject in a soft box and two on a white background. A white fill card was used under the subject's face for filling in any shadows. On both shoot dates, the lighting stayed the same."
